POSITION TITLE: BUILDINGS & MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER
REPORTING TO: Administration and Facilities Manager
LOCATION: Multi-site

ROLE PURPOSE: The role objective is to enable Crosscare maintain and
improve each of its buildings across Dublin in the most effective and
cost efficient way possible.
THE ROLE:
This position requires a multi-skilled individual with relevant
experience.
The main duties of the post include the delivery of maintenance work
and minor improvement works, which includes planning and scheduling of
maintenance work. The work also involves operation and maintenance of
equipment and liaison with any external contractors hired by
Crosscare. Lead the Maintenance team in the provision of the
maintenance service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and minor improvement
works as required by the Project Leader.
* To plan and schedule buildings work as directed by Crosscare?s
CEO and the Administration and Facilities manager.
* To maintain adequate records of all maintenance and minor
improvement work.
* To operate appropriate equipment in a safe manner.
* To maintain equipment as required.
* In conjunction with the Administration and Facilities manager to
ensure that staff are aware of and implement current Health & Safety
policy and procedures.
* To undertake any other duties as required in line with the needs
of a changing and expanding agency.
* To promote an ethos of best practice, professionalism,
accountability and ongoing learning within the project.
THE HOLDER:
(QUALIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS)
_KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:_
* Some knowledge and understanding of the wide range of technical
requirements involved in building maintenance and development:
carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, plastering.
_JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:_
* Excellent people and project management skills.
* A strong knowledge and understanding of H&S standards
* Ideally have a recognised trade qualification to enhance your
application
* Have experience of building, carpentry, plumbing or another
maintenance-based trade.
* Competent and experienced in Portable Appliance Testing.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Budget management
* Full clean driving licence
